This week, our team from Somer Valley House had the privilege of visiting the Parkinson’s Support Group at the Centurion Hotel. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with local individuals, share information about the services offered, and discuss how the home can support those living with Parkinson’s.
The group welcomed the team warmly, and the conversations were both open and insightful. Hearing their stories and experiences provided a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with Parkinson’s and their families. The visit also reaffirmed the home’s commitment to fostering strong connections within the wider Midsomer Norton community.
Rhona Sievewright, Care Manager at Somer Valley House, reflected on the experience:
“Meeting members of the Parkinson’s Support Group was a truly rewarding experience. Their stories and insights help us continually improve our care offerings to better meet their needs. We are deeply committed to working alongside the local community to provide the best possible support and care.”
Somer Valley House is passionate about building relationships with local groups and organisations to ensure residents and their families feel part of a supportive, connected community.
