At Somer Valley House, we believe that food should be as joyful as it is nourishing – and this month’s Culinary Cruise certainly delivered.
Residents were treated to a delicious taste of France, thanks to the creative flair of Josh, the newest member of our talented kitchen team. The thoughtfully crafted menu included savoury crepes, a rich mushroom pithivier served with buttered new potatoes and seasonal vegetables, and a showstopping hot banana soufflé for dessert.
Josh’s passion and attention to detail brought authentic French flavours to the table, offering residents an opportunity to experience something new and exciting from the comfort of their home.
Emma Curtain, Front of House Manager at Somer Valley House, said:
“The Culinary Cruise is one of our residents’ favourite events – and this month’s French-inspired menu was a real treat. Josh has settled into the team so well, and the care and creativity he put into today’s meal was just fantastic.”
At Somer Valley House, our kitchen team is committed to preparing fresh, homemade meals every day. Menus are carefully planned to be both nutritious and varied, with a focus on seasonal ingredients and individual preferences.
We look forward to seeing where our next Culinary Cruise takes us!
