Somer Valley House is proud to announce that thanks to the generosity of residents, families, and the wider community, a total of £270 has been raised in support of the local charity Time is Precious.
Funds were raised through two raffles, held during Somer Valley House’s grand opening event and Christmas celebrations, with all proceeds donated to Time is Precious, a charity dedicated to creating a more comfortable and relaxed environment for children and their families during long hospital stays.
Time is Precious works alongside specialists to fund essential equipment and refurbish hospital areas, ensuring that children with serious illnesses or disabilities have access to the resources they need for both medical care and emotional support. The charity also helps families who wish to stay close to their loved ones during treatment, recognising that in difficult times, time truly is precious.
Emma Curtain, Front of House Manager at Somer Valley House, said:
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to our raffles, helping us raise money for such a meaningful cause. Time is Precious does fantastic work to support families facing incredibly challenging circumstances, and we are honoured to play a small part in helping them make a difference. Community support is at the heart of everything we do at Somer Valley House, and we look forward to continuing our fundraising efforts in the future.”
Somer Valley House remains committed to supporting local initiatives and fostering strong relationships within the community.
