Copperfield Court recently treated its residents to a joyful springtime outing at Ramsgate Garden Centre – a delightful visit that brought back treasured memories and filled the day with colour, nature, and laughter.
As residents wandered through the vibrant displays of flowers, new seedlings, and fragrant herbs, the essence of the season was felt in full bloom. The experience sparked conversations and nostalgic recollections of family visits to garden centres over the years – picking out plants, planning garden layouts, and enjoying peaceful moments with loved ones.
The outing wasn’t just about enjoying the floral displays. After exploring, the group gathered in the garden centre’s café for tea and freshly baked cakes, where a warm atmosphere and good conversation added to the experience. The scent of baking, the comfort of a hot drink, and shared stories brought everyone closer together.
“These kinds of trips offer more than just a change of scenery,” said Eve Balcombe, Registered General Manager. “They help stimulate memories, strengthen friendships, and bring a real sense of joy to our residents.”
The visit is part of the home’s ongoing commitment to creating engaging, person-centred experiences that support emotional wellbeing and a strong sense of community.
