Potter House Care Home, Yeovil, Welcomes New General Manager Callum Pearce

Oyster Care Homes is delighted to announce the appointment of Callum Pearce as the General Manager of Potter House, our newest care home in Yeovil, scheduled to open in March 2025.

Callum brings an impressive 13 years of experience in the care sector, having started his career at the age of 15. Since then, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a passion for delivering high-quality care, managing two care homes, including successfully improving a home’s CQC rating. By the age of 24, Callum had become a Registered Manager, leading both a 23-bedded turnaround home and a 46-bedded home.

Callum’s extensive qualifications include levels 2, 3, 5, and 6 in health and social care, and he is currently completing a master’s degree in healthcare management. His leadership philosophy is centred on empowering his team, being approachable, and maintaining high standards in every aspect of care. Callum’s vision is to inspire his team to make Potter House a safe haven for residents and an integral part of the local community.

Speaking about his new role, Callum said:

“I’m honoured to lead Potter House as it prepares to open its doors to residents. My focus is on fostering a supportive environment where residents feel at home and where our team can thrive. I’m excited to bring my passion for good, quality care to this incredible new care home.”

A New Chapter for Care in Yeovil

Potter House, set to open in March 2025, is our sixth care home and represents a significant step forward in sustainable care provision. Designed and constructed by LNT Construction, the home is equipped with cutting-edge eco-friendly features, including solar panels, a battery storage system capable of holding two days of energy, and ground-source heating, aligning with Oyster Care Homes’ commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions.

This purpose-built home will provide high-quality, resident-centred care in a compassionate and supportive environment. Designed to meet the needs of older people, including those living with dementia, Potter House promises to promote independence and enhance quality of life while creating strong community connections.
