Potter House has officially kickstarted its exciting series of fundraising events in support of the Alzheimer’s Society – and the first event was a resounding success.
Held on Thursday, 18th April, the home’s debut Charity Car Wash raised an impressive £350, bringing the team one step closer to their ambitious £4,000 fundraising goal. The event, held on-site at the newly opened Yeovil home, saw the team don their sponges and buckets, transforming the car park into a hive of activity, laughter, and community spirit.
With cars sparkling in the sunshine, visitors were also treated to the warm welcome Potter House is quickly becoming known for. The event was supported by guests from Yeovil Press Newspapers and Yeovil Freewheelers Blood Bikes, whose presence added to the community atmosphere on the day.
The funds raised will contribute to the home’s bigger charity campaign, which culminates in a group skydive on 3rd September. Fifteen brave team members from Potter House will be soaring 10,000 feet into the skies – some opting to go even higher – all to raise awareness and vital funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.
