Since its opening, Copperfield Court has built a strong and meaningful partnership with health and social care students from East Kent College. Through a series of collaborative projects, the students have enriched the lives of residents, offering creativity, connection, and compassion.
This Christmas, their thoughtful efforts took a truly personal approach. Each student handcrafted a personalised Christmas card for our residents, filled with warm wishes and heartfelt messages. As the cards were distributed, the impact was undeniable.
Kristin, one of our residents, reflected on the experience, sharing how much it meant to receive such a personal and thoughtful gesture. For Jose, the experience was particularly emotional, as he was brought to tears while reading his card. The message inside read:
“Merry Christmas, Jose; everyone must be so proud of what you have achieved in your life.”
These small but powerful acts of kindness highlight the value of intergenerational relationships. Since its inception, our partnership with East Kent College has brought connection, creativity, and thoughtful engagement into the daily lives of our residents. We are proud to continue this special collaboration, which not only supports our residents but also inspires the next generation of health and social care professionals.
