Oyster Care Homes is thrilled to announce the appointment of Scott Wilkinson as the new General Manager of Lake View Lodge, our latest state-of-the-art care home, scheduled to open its doors in 2025 in Halling. Scott brings over 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector, ensuring that the new care facility is led by someone with exceptional leadership, industry insight, and a passion for person-centred care.
Scott’s career is marked by a diverse journey that has shaped his leadership approach. Starting his professional life in the British Army, he gained invaluable organisational and leadership skills, which later served him well when he transitioned into the hospitality industry, working in both restaurants and hotels. His commitment to delivering outstanding service, paired with a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, ultimately led him into the healthcare sector. Since then, Scott has built a strong track record in residential and dementia care, consistently fostering supportive environments where both residents and staff can thrive.
Speaking about his new role, Scott shared his vision for Lake View Lodge:

I believe in delivering care that truly enhances the lives of our residents, and I’m excited to lead a team that shares this commitment. Scott’s philosophy centres on delivering personalised care that honours each resident’s individuality. He is dedicated to creating a care environment that is inclusive, respectful, and compassionate. His leadership style focuses on setting a positive example and nurturing a collaborative team that is motivated to deliver exceptional care.

When he’s not working, Scott enjoys spending quality time with his family. Married for over 30 years, he is a proud father of two and a loving grandfather to his granddaughter, Elsie. An avid cook, Scott enjoys preparing meals for his family and keeps active by taking long walks with his dog.
