The sun shone on a truly special occasion as Lake View Lodge, the newest addition to Oyster Care Homes, officially opened its doors in Halling, Kent. The event welcomed local residents, families, and members of the community to celebrate the launch of this state-of-the-art, all-inclusive care home.
The grand opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by TV legend Fred Dinenage, who had the honour of officially declaring the home open. He was joined by Lake View Lodge’s first residents, Beryl and Margaret, making the moment even more meaningful.
Guests were treated to live music from local singer Liam Joseph, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere, while the home’s kitchen team prepared a selection of delicious homemade refreshments. A stunning celebration cake was also on display, adding to the sense of occasion.
Scott Wilkinson, General Manager at Lake View Lodge, said:

Following the success of the Grand Opening, Lake View Lodge is looking forward to welcoming more visitors to upcoming events, including:
- Tea on Tuesday – Every Tuesday from 10:30 am to 11:45 am
- High Tea – 13th March from 2:00 pm
- Cheese & Wine Evening – 27th March from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
- Film Fridays – Every Friday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
