Festive Joy Through Music at Furze Field Manor Care Home

12 December 2024 Furze Field Manor

This week, Furze Field Manor was filled with the sound of music, laughter, and festive cheer as we welcomed Helen from Dementia Singing Experience Sussex (DSES) for a special interactive session with our residents.

Helen facilitated a wonderful morning of singing, dancing, movement, and fun, designed to engage and uplift our residents. Using festive props to set the tone, the session brought a touch of Christmas magic to everyone involved. The room was alive with smiles, as residents embraced the chance to express themselves through music and movement, enjoying the sense of togetherness it created.

We truly believe that music has the power to connect, uplift, and inspire, and this session was a perfect example of that. The positive impact of music on memory and emotional wellbeing is well documented, and sessions like these are an important part of our commitment to providing holistic and meaningful experiences for our residents.

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Helen and Dementia Singing Experience Sussex for bringing such joy and energy to our home. The feedback from residents has been overwhelmingly positive, and it was clear that this festive morning left a lasting impression on everyone involved.

We are proud to create opportunities like this for our residents to engage, connect, and celebrate the joy of the season. If you’d like to learn more about life at Furze Field Manor or the activities we offer, please do get in touch.
