Somer Valley House recently hosted a heart-warming Easter Egg Hunt in the home’s garden, bringing together residents, their grandchildren and great-grandchildren for a day of celebration and connection.
With the rain holding off just in time, the garden was filled with the sounds of excitement and laughter as children searched high and low for brightly coloured eggs. The crowning moment came when one lucky participant discovered the golden egg – winning a large chocolate treat. But no child left empty-handed, as everyone received a prize for taking part.
To add a touch of fun, the young visitors were given bunny ears, making the garden feel like a scene from a storybook. Residents joined in by cheering the children on and later sat with them to enjoy homemade Easter biscuits together, creating a lovely intergenerational moment that brought joy to all.
Events like these are a core part of the home’s ethos – fostering connection, joy, and a real sense of family.
