Copperfield Court is delighted to announce a new partnership with Waitrose, enabling residents to enjoy weekly flower arranging sessions with fresh blooms donated by the local store.
This initiative brings a creative and therapeutic activity to the residents, with flower arranging offering a sense of accomplishment, relaxation, and social engagement. The sessions are particularly beneficial for those living with dementia, providing a sensory experience that encourages creativity and supports emotional wellbeing.
Eve Balcombe, General Manager at Copperfield Court, expressed her gratitude for the generous donation and the positive impact it has had on the residents:
“We are incredibly grateful to Waitrose for supporting us with these beautiful flowers each week. The joy and fulfilment that flower arranging brings to our residents is truly heartwarming. It’s more than just an activity – it’s an opportunity to reminisce, engage with nature, and create something wonderful together.”
The first session was a resounding success, with residents enjoying the vibrant colours and fragrant scents while arranging their bouquets. The weekly sessions will now be a regular highlight, fostering creativity and connection within the home.
Copperfield Court extends a huge thank you to Waitrose for their support and looks forward to seeing this partnership continue to blossom.
