Copperfield Court celebrated its first anniversary in style with a vibrant Wild West-themed birthday bash that brought together residents, families, and team members for a day to remember.
From the moment guests arrived, the spirit of the Wild West was in full swing. The entire Copperfield Court team embraced the theme, donning checkered shirts and cowboy hats, creating a cheerful, immersive atmosphere that set the tone for the day’s festivities.
Residents were treated to an unforgettable live performance by West End singer Gary Bland, who delighted the crowd with a medley of Western-inspired hits. The entertainment didn’t stop there – George and Friends brought along their much-loved animal-assisted therapy ponies, which quickly became the stars of the show. Residents enjoyed feeding the gentle ponies apples and carrots, engaging in warm, therapeutic moments that sparked joy and fond memories.
To complement the lively celebration, the home hosted a Western-style BBQ featuring classic favourites including chicken skewers, burgers, hot dogs, side salads, coleslaw, and potato salad – all freshly prepared and served with care.
As the event drew to a close, a visit from local favourite ‘Tania Ice Cream’ added a sweet ending to the day. Residents, families, and team members lined up to enjoy classic whippy ice creams complete with chocolate flakes, bringing smiles all around as laughter and music echoed through the garden.
