Oyster Care Homes celebrated the grand opening of its seventh residential care home, Collington Park Lodge, on Thursday 15th May in the heart of Bexhill-on-Sea.
The event was marked by an official ribbon-cutting ceremony performed by esteemed broadcaster Fred Dinenage and one of the home’s first residents, 97-year-old Dorothy Larkin. Dorothy said,
‘It was a fabulous day for such a wonderful home. It was fun cutting the ribbon and an honour meeting Fred Dinenage.’
Attendees enjoyed live entertainment by Tom Fitzpatrick, a delicious buffet, a community raffle, and guided tours of the state-of-the-art home including the cosy cinema, hair salon and on-site sweet shop.
All proceeds from the community raffle will be donated to Bexhill Food Bank.
Bianca Wilson, the General Manager at Collington Park Lodge, added, ‘I’m incredibly proud of Collington Park Lodge and the team have already achieved. Our Grand Opening was a truly amazing day meeting our supportive community and raising money for a great cause.
‘We’re looking forward to welcoming more residents very soon, who have been to reserve their rooms.’
